Explosive cleaning with the SMART Shot System
Operators often need short-term help to extend the operating time of their plant. Since 2017 we have offered our own system for online explosive cleaning for this, together with our sister company Salzgitter Energy Services GmbH.
What makes the SMART Shot System different
Salzgitter Energy Services GmbH holds official approval as a blasting company. Its blasting masters have the required training for blasting in hot masses. The necessary cooling of the charge is provided by specially developed, patented cooling systems.
Instead of conventional explosives, the SMART Shot System uses a pyrotechnic charge with a low detonation velocity and a higher gas volume. The system is patented, approved by the authorities and was developed in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

Is explosive cleaning a continuously operating cleaning system?
The SMART Shot service offered here is carried out as a targeted cleaning operation as required. It is not a permanently installed system that automatically generates recurring cleaning impulses.
