Spray cleaning

The proven cleaning system for biomass combustion and waste incineration plants. For over 20 years we have been cleaning the empty passes of boiler plants during operation with the impact plate nozzle of our SARA24.

  • Empty passes up to max. 800 °C
  • During operation
  • Also on refractory lining

The system

How the SARA24 works

Our SARA24 water spray system cleans empty passes in fossil and biomass-fired steam boilers, in the area of the combustion chamber and the second and third passes.

During operation, a flexible stainless steel hose with a special nozzle is lowered into the boiler pass through one or more connections in the boiler roof. A drive and roll unit controls the hose in all parameters.

The special nozzle creates a water spray curtain and distributes it evenly over all surfaces to be cleaned, such as membrane walls and ceilings, evaporator grids and baffles. It cleans selectively and effectively with minimal water input.

Advantages of the stationary cleaning system

  • Can be controlled on site or via a control system connection
  • Clean previously inaccessible areas such as baffles and slim empty passes during operation
  • No thermal stress on the heating surfaces thanks to controlled cleaning parameters
  • Available as a single module or as a row module movable in the X and Y axes

Hydro-SCS water spray cleaning system, Shower Cleaning System

The Hydro-SCS cleans empty boiler passes during operation, particularly in biomass and waste incineration plants.

Features

  • Project-specific design according to the cleaning task and installation conditions.
  • Robust technology for industrial use.
  • A special impact plate nozzle creates a water spray curtain for even distribution of the water.
  • Cleaning performance is determined by water quantity, nozzle geometry and lowering speed.
  • Operation on site or connection to the control system.
  • Also suitable for slim empty passes and areas with baffles, depending on the plant conditions.
  • Also suitable for outdoor plants, with appropriate design.

Frequently asked questions about spray cleaning

Where are spray cleaning systems used?

SCS spray cleaning systems are used in empty boiler passes at flue gas temperatures of up to max. 800 °C. Especially for smaller boiler cross-sections, they are an alternative to water lance blowers.

Which medium does spray cleaning use?

With cold water. The nozzle distributes the water as droplets onto the wall surfaces to be cleaned. This removes deposits gently and effectively.

Can spray cleaning also be used on the refractory lining?

Yes, our SCS spray cleaning system can also be used on the refractory lining.

Can SCS spray cleaning systems be used in outdoor plants?

Yes, with a suitable enclosure.

Do SCS spray cleaning systems need additional sound insulation?

Additional sound insulation is not required for these cleaning systems.

Which module designs does SZKS offer?

SCS spray cleaning systems are available as single module SM, row module RM and multi-row module MRM.

Which versions does SZKS offer?

SZKS offers the SARA version with a sturdy frame and Hydro-SCS for difficult space conditions.
