Orientation
Where each system works in the boiler
Each boiler pass has its own fouling and its own cleaning system. The graphic shows the systems at their location, from the tube bundles to the economizer.

- Soot blowers: between the tube bundles
- Shot cleaning system: vertical passes with horizontal tube bundles
- Water lance blowers and spray cleaning: empty passes
- Rapping systems: horizontal passes with suspended tube harps

The systems in detail

Soot blowers
The soot blower types are selected according to the cleaning task.

Shot cleaning system
Falling steel shots remove the deposits, the shots are returned to the cleaning circuit.

Water lance blowers
The blow tube swivels horizontally and vertically up to approx. 90°, the water jet creates a meander-shaped blowing figure.

Spray cleaning SCS
The water penetrates the deposits on the wall and dissolves them as it evaporates.

Rapping devices
The boiler header bottoms are rapped, dust and deposits are removed by the vibration.
